This latest project focussed on painting a face using just one colour and white – although I couldn’t resist the splash of colour for the flower! I chose this picture because I loved the texture in her face, the interest and beauty developed over the many years.  The flower then just hints at a touch of glamour.

I also wanted to show by photographing the painting at the end of each session, how the face emerges and develops its character.
